This course is for those who have completed the 120 clock hours of training for their CDA and are ready to finish the rest of the process. You may NOT take this course UNLESS you have completed the other training.

Provides individualized support for assembling the CDA Professional Portfolio, including the Resource Collection, writing the 6 Competency Statements, and the Professional Philosophy Statement. Students are also prepared for the CDA Exam and the Verification Visit with the CDA Professional Development Specialist.

Prerequisites: Completion of the 120 clock hours of required CDA training, either with our organization or with another training organization.

Class size is limited to 12 students.


Materials:

  • The CDA Competency Standards Book (CDA Council) for the student's particular CDA setting (latest edition) (Order this book on the CDA Council website)
  • The CDA Prep Workbook (included with the course)
  • A CDA Prep Binder (included with the course)
